What a lot of teenagers do on social media is following their idols. Being an idol, or we can say influencer is one of the most popular things on social media. How many of us had said that we want to look like someone or be like someone due to a photo or a video? In Czech Republic, we have many influencers that are known around the world. Some people admire for example youtubers for what they have become and what they accomplished but some people may hate them for just because they think that they don’t deserve to be famous for recording videos. Starting a career on Youtube is one of the most common way on how people think they will get “famous” for what they do these days. Everyone can record videos and we can say, how crazier the video is, more views it is going to get. It is sometimes crazy that people are sometimes admired for crazy things that they do and it doesn’t even have to have a good influence.

We have an event that is one of the most known in Czech Republic and that is Utubering. It is a festival of a Czech Youtube scene where all of the famous youtubers meet up with their fans. They have been doing this festival for 5 years in a row now. The fans are able to meet up with their favorite idols and they can also listen to the live concert that is performed by a lot of known singers from Czech Republic and Slovakia. There are also food and drinks that they can buy and at the end of the festival, the most favorite youtubers win some awards. It is unbelievable how some children, teenagers or adolescents could be so addicted to watching people what they do in their daily lives. This event is in overall very successful and the next Utubering will be help on 27thof April, 2019.

What kind of social media do you use the most? We live in a generation that I think is the most effected by social media. Even though social media help us to connect with people all around the world, it makes us being less social in a real life. How many of us has written a family member or a friend that was in the same building but we were too lazy to speak? How many of us had told our friends to not meet up that you are just going to facetime each other? Cyberbullying is the biggest issue on media this time. Many people do not even realize how important this issue is. I think that most of us have seen cyberbullying on social media. What cyberbullying actually is? Cyberbullying is the use of cell phones, instant messaging, e-mail, chat rooms or social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to harass, threaten or intimidate someone.
